Bringing sustainability standards to life

Client: Global Reporting Initiative
Role: Graphic design and art direction for brand, campaigns and publications

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the world’s leading independent organisation for sustainability reporting standards. Headquartered in Amsterdam, GRI works with governments, businesses, and NGOs worldwide to help organisations measure, manage, and communicate their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts. Their standards are used globally as the benchmark for transparent, accountable, and comparable sustainability reporting.

Design support

I work with GRI on an ongoing basis to bring their communications to life across digital and print. I support them by designing social media templates and assets, creating concepts and visuals for campaigns, and producing event materials that engage a wide audience. I also design their regular publications, ensuring consistency and clarity, while helping to evolve and strengthen their visual identity.

Visual identity for Public Consultation Periods on GRI Standards

GRI regularly holds Public Consultation Periods (PCPs) on its sustainability standards, gathering feedback from stakeholders around the world to ensure the standards remain credible, inclusive, and globally relevant. I was asked to create a unique yet flexible visual identity for these consultation periods and the resulting publications—something that felt part of GRI’s brand but stood out enough to promote the PCPs effectively. The system I designed could be applied consistently across social media templates, internal presentations, and campaign materials, giving GRI a clear and engaging way to communicate each consultation.
